The project comprises the construction of pumping station upgrades and new forcemain on Municipality owned developed/agricultural land/easement. SPS located at the intersection of Principale Street and Brisson Street in Casselman, as well as a new forcemain along Brisson street, a municipally owned right-of-way easement, connecting to Laurier Street, followed by the Casselman Lagoons access road, and then the Lagoon property. At the Lagoon property, upgrades to the alum injection building are necessary with the construction of the new forcemain. 

The general works include: (1) Demolition of existing pipe supports and installation of new supports and house keeping pads. (2) Installation and commissioning of two new sewage pumps to increase the SPS capacity from 118 L/s to 236 L/s. (3) Near water construction of an emergency overflow by-pass sewer from the SPS to the South Nation River using trench re-instatement excavation. (4) Demolition of the existing electrical room and construction of a new room which includesarchitectural, electrical and mechanical modifications to the existing SPS. (5) Installation of new motors on existing pump. (6) New motor control centre (MCC) sections and new variable frequency drives (VFDs). (7) Re-rating of the mechanical bar screening system to the new design capacity. (8) Miscellaneous civil works (maintenance holes, paving, etc.) (9) Construction of a new forcemain between the SPS and the Casselman Lagoons System using trench re-instatement excavation. (10) Upgrades to the alum injection system at the Casselman wastewater treatment Lagoon system.
